New Delhi: Tomato and garlic are used a lot in the kitchen of Indian homes. Garlic is used in many ways to enhance the flavor, while tomato is used in making vegetable gravy as well. Tomato garlic chutney is also prepared and eaten which is very tasty. Tomato garlic chutney is tasty as well as very healthy. If you want to enhance the taste of lunch or dinner and are going to make chutney for it, then this time try Tomato Garlic Chutney instead of routine chutney. Let’s know its recipe-


Tomatoes – 6-7

Garlic clove – 7-8

Green chili – 2-3

Red chili powder – 1 tsp

Rai – 1 tsp

Oil – 1 tbsp

To make tomato-garlic chutney, first wash the tomatoes and cut them into big pieces after wiping them with cotton cloth. After this, finely chop the garlic and green chillies as well. Now put oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. When the oil becomes hot, first add mustard seeds and fry them. When the mustard starts crackling, then add finely chopped garlic and cook it for 1 minute.

After cooking garlic for 1 minute, add tomato pieces to it and cook. Tomatoes have to be cooked till they are well softened. After the tomatoes become soft, add red chilli powder and salt as per taste and mix it. After this, let the chutney cook for one to two more minutes. After this, turn off the gas and let the mixture cool down.

When the mixture cools down, put it in a mixer grinder and grind it well. After the mixture is well ground, take it out in a bowl. Tasty and nutritious Tomato-Garlic Chutney is ready. It can be served anytime in lunch or dinner. Tomato-garlic chutney will also taste delicious with spicy snacks during the day.
