Along with giving adequate nutrition and energy to the body, it is recommended to eat papaya as a cure for many diseases. Fiber, vitamins and minerals are found in plenty in it. This can help in keeping the body safe from the risk of many serious diseases.

But for some people it can also prove to be harmful. Let’s know which people should not eat papaya- According to health experts, if you are taking blood thinner medicine, then fermented papaya can prove to be harmful for you. Often people associated with heart diseases take this medicine, so that there is no problem in blood circulation. If such patients eat papaya, then blood starts flowing easily on injury.

Pregnant women should not consume papaya at all. Papaya contains latex and papain which can cause uterine contractions. Due to this, labor pain starts happening before time. It can also weaken the membranes that support the fetus. However, eating mostly unripe papaya can lead to these problems.

People who are allergic to latex should avoid eating papaya. Papayas contain enzymes called chitinases, which can cause a cross reaction between the latex and the food they contain. Due to which there may be problems of sneezing, difficulty in breathing, cough and watery eyes.

If you are an asthma patient, then keep distance from papaya. Because the enzyme present in this fruit can prove harmful for asthma patients. Experts believe that the amount of Vitamin-C in papaya is very high. The antioxidant found in it can work to further increase the problem of kidney stones. Too much intake of vitamin C can lead to the formation of calcium oxalate kidney stones. It can also increase the size of the stone. This makes it very difficult to urinate.
