New Delhi: Lohri, the holy festival of the Sikh community, is about to come soon. In such a situation, people celebrate this festival in different ways. If you also want to make something special for your guests on this special occasion, then jaggery pudding will be the best option. So let’s know its recipe-

material

a cup of semolina

1 cup jaggery (soaked in water)

two and a half teaspoons ghee

a pinch of saffron

Half teaspoon cardamom powder

50 grams chopped pistachios

50 grams chopped almonds

4 teaspoons sugar/brown sugar

recipe

• First of all, soak semolina in water for 20 minutes and keep it aside.
• Now heat ghee in a pan or kadhai and add semolina to it and fry it till it turns golden brown. Now add jaggery water to it and mix it well.
• During this, keep the gas on medium flame only. Now add sugar to it and mix it well and after some time add pistachios, almonds, saffron to it.
• When the pudding is cooked well, add cardamom powder to it. Now keep cooking it till the pudding becomes thick.
• Finally garnish it with dry fruits and serve hot to the guests at home.
