New Delhi: The festival of Mahashivratri, the great festival of Hindus, is going to come soon. In such a situation, if you are fasting on this festival day and are looking for a good alternative to fruits, then you can make a tasty potato curry, which is very easy to make. Let’s know its recipe-

Material

Potato – 500 grams

Sour curd – 125 grams

Rock salt – 2 teaspoons

Cumin – 1/2 tsp

Kashmiri red chili – 1 tbsp

Refined oil – 2 cups

Water chestnut flour – 70 grams

Chili powder – 1/2 tsp

Curry leaves – 6-7

• To make Tasty Potato Kadhi, first of all put a deep bottomed pan on medium heat and add water to it. When the potatoes become soft, peel them and keep them aside.
• Now put a pan on medium heat and heat oil in it. On the other hand add mashed potatoes, rock salt, water chestnut flour and chili powder. Mix them well and prepare a thick solution.
• When the oil becomes hot, reduce the flame to very low. Now prepare pakodas by adding potato soaked in the batter. After they turn golden, take them out and keep them aside.
• Now heat a pan and add oil to it and heat it. When the oil becomes hot, add curry leaves, Kashmiri red chillies and cumin seeds and fry them. Add a little batter and sour curd to it and invert it in the pan.
• Now add salt to it and cook till it comes to a boil. Mix it by adding water as required. Lower the flame and when you feel that the curry has become thick, add pakoras and cook for 3-4 minutes.
• Your curry is ready. Transfer it into a serving bowl and serve hot with singhade ki roti or poori.
