The holy festival of Mahashivratri will be celebrated on 18 February this year. At the same time, people keep fast on this auspicious occasion. Some things are prohibited regarding food and drink during fasting, then only fruits can be eaten there. You can also prepare many types of fruit dishes on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri. By the way, most of the people prefer to eat plain food during the fast, but if you want to eat something spicy, then you can make spicy fruit tikkis. It is not only easy to make, but also very tasty to eat. Let’s learn the recipe of spicy fruit tikki –

Material

1. Water chestnut flour or sama rice – 1 cup
2. Boiled Potatoes – 2
3. Rock salt – as per taste
4. crushed black pepper
5. finely chopped green chilies
6. green coriander
7. roasted cumin
8. coriander powder
9. Desi Ghee

• If you are making sama rice tikkis, first soak the rice for some time and then grind them coarsely. On the other hand, if you are using water chestnut flour, then there is no need for this step.
• Now boil the potatoes and mash them and add rice paste or water chestnut flour to it. Add crushed black pepper, finely chopped coriander leaves, green chilies, rock salt, coriander powder and cumin powder to the potato and flour paste.
• Make round balls of this dry paste and keep it. Now put desi ghee on a non stick pan or griddle and heat it.
• Then keep the tikkis on the pan and fry them on low flame till they become golden. Now take it out in a plate and serve it with curd or chutney.
